Tom Cruise is one of these actors that is a victim of his own hype and own press. He has had some good roles that have done him well, Top Gun, A Few Good Men, Rain Man and even Jerry Maguire to some extent. But his personality and views especially when it comes to "Scientology" have pretty overshadowed any career highlights. Another actor who has fallen prey to the Media Vultures that now clog up our TV's, Newspapers and Other Media Outlets.

I am in NO WAY comparing Tom Cruise to Pacino, but honestly... yes, Tom was (is??) a really good actor.

idk y everyone is hating on tom cruise. true he's no pacino, but he is a great actor. people should stop comparing actors and just appreciate their craft in themselves

agree. cruise doesnt touch any of them. none of the charisma (or masculinity) of any of these actors. it kind of freaks me out that cruise is the face of the american movie star today. sad, sad, sad.

Tom Cruise is not so good, yes he have played in some really good movies like Rain Man. Still, Dustin Hoffman is the one who played good in that movie, not Tom. To be onest I wisk that role would go to some one else than Tom. After all Al Pacino is the best. No questions asked;)
