"I have read that one gypsy shot own men (finnish) when they were attacking. I know that could have been a finn too but i havent heard that a finn shoot his comrades. I know that was just a sad thing, not general." Havent heard about that, but i have read that over 200 Finns at a minimum were executed after the war for cowardice and other rebellious behaviour by Finnsish MP. Theres a scene of it in "The unknown soldier". (Finland 1955) Btw Gypsies are Finns too. "WE ARE ALL EQUAL HERE!"

Gypsies are not Finns, they are Gypsies regardless of what is says on their passports.

Oh yes, friendly fire killed our own here as it is the case in all wars. I don't understand what the fact of one case involving a gypsy has to do with that. For example, I know a case where a Finnish pilot was guillotinized accidentally by the wing of his wingman when taking off, because the latter didn't see him in those poor conditions. Shocked, the "guilty" one tried to commit suicide directly after the accident and his mates had to stop him.

That just came to my mind when i wrote tranmere789 comment. I just shared what i have read from book like tranmere said that he had a gypsy veteram in his neighbour. That gypsy was so nervous that he didnt know who were enemy and who werent and i cant blame him. War is an awful thing where people lose their lifes in way or other, sad but true.

yep, it happens that things just coome to one's mind after hearing a story... sorry. I just felt someone here might take your comment as something it was not supposed to be. My story was terrible too, and it is known that Finns did not always feel guilty just shooting accidentally their own, but the Finnish veterans seem to have had the killing of any human being for the rest of their lives - even though the enemy was vastly superior, and sometimes Finns literally fought on their own doorstep.

i mean it was on their conscience for the rest of their lives - i once heard one vetaran who defended literally his own home yard say 50 or 60 years after the war: "those sins are constantly on my mind" - it sucks that in some countries where they glorify war it's not understood that not only being forced to perhaps die for your country, but already killing for it, is asking a lot as well. no one should have to go through it in a better world than today's.

finland have many plane at ww2
