Why don't you guys umm... get updated with the facts ... SSC Ultimate Aero TT claimed the fastest production car title on Oct 9 from Bugatti with the tests of ~412 kmh (avg for 2 runs) or ~256.14 mph and ~1183 hp.

no, the previous top speed held before Bugatti's unofficial claim as the fastest, was the Koenigsegg CCR, then the Mclaren F1. But now, the Veyron is no longer the fastest, the SSC Ultimate Aero TT is the fastest at 257 mph.

The guy driving it (James May, this is from the greatest show in the world, Top Gear, by the way) is nicknamed "Captain Slow", so, though he is a car show host, this is about 233 MPH faster than he's ever been before. Heh, seeing him in that sweater in the beginning is pretty funny.
