Not preciesly but 3G network isnt 100% up yet in the US so why rush with 4G. I presume that by 2012 there might be a 4G conection up and maybe an iphone 4G will come out too.

Apple is fucking clever.. its gonna make fools upgrade year after year.. next year its gonna launch iphone 3G with stereo bluetooth and replacable battery. Then iphone 4G.. then iphone 4G with video recorder and enabled MMS. Then Iphone 5G.. then iphone 5G with improved camera and a flash.... people shall keep on buying that shit,every year, a new one.. I am gonna wait till that iphone 5G with improved camera and a flash comes out :)

firtst of all... every company works that way. second... 3G does not stand for third generation. but you're right, they are gonna upgrade every year... obviously.

i never explicitly mentioned 3G stood for 3rd Gereration. Out of curiousity, I did a research, and almost all, but unreliable, sources suggest that 3G is the 3rd generation of networking; preceedors being 2G and 2.5G every company does the same thing, but dont u think apple's too mean? how dare they claim that its the best smartphone in the market which still lacks a stereo bluetooth. yeah, iphone has unbeatable software, but falls far behind many phones when it comes to hardware: IRONY
