the patrol and the toyota land cruiser are wonderfull offroad vehicles (i have driven both on very highlands and difficult tracks). I have also driven the discovery tdi, wonderfull vehicle either, the only problem with this last one is the persistent problems due to poor quality control on materials and assembly. Ford signature.

Since the intro of the HMMWV, or military H1 Hummer, and since the civilian H1, Hummers have been considered the ultimate American 4x4. Through lineage, the H2 carries the burden. Even Land Rover compares their trucks to the Hummers. I would bet my money on LR over the H2 or H3, though. They're just Chevys in fancy knickers after all.

I agree with you. The H2 H3 are nothing special. My LR1 was a lot better then those. The H1 would be my choice if I had to go 4 wheeling. My LR1 never got me in trouble but the repairs were OUT OF THIS WORLD>

well that the close's thing u can compare a landrover to. cause a hummer would smash it. and just to note im not a fan of ether of them im a xterra fan
