Tall Poppy Syndrome

You know better than to listen to rumours, if you dive into Rove's past you'll note he moved from Perth to Melbourne when he was in his early 20s to do stand-up. He failed numerous occasions like everyone else, he started on community channel (it was a fluke - host was sick that day so he took over). That's where someone from Channel Nine discovered him gave him a late timeslot. The show was axed after 10 eps, Ten picked them up & gave them another go

Tench tonight was ground breaking and very funny. Will we see another season of the can u beat a 4th grader thing?. People watch the ARIA's not for ROVE but because they are the ARIAS. There are thousands of other entertainers around Australia that will forever scratch there heads about how Rove got his gig. I have met him and was about charming, witty, funny, as Shane Warne. I can't resond to this any more becasue you love him, and thats great worship your God Babylon.

Tench didn't last, I think you're in a very small minority there. It looked great on paper but it didn't go down well with the public when it aired (Rove was also a guest on it). Yes, 'Are you smarter...?' will be coming back. Rove got the job because he's production company produces it since 2002, he doesn't host it all the time he stepped down because he felt he was over-exposed opting to produce. Of course no one watches the ARIA for him only - it's the music industry's night.
