Gordon Brown Loves Margaret Thatcher!

Yeah get in the Tories, they're a LOT better. Wee Dave Cameron, Blair Mark II, it's almost as democratic as a US election. Any colour politician as long as they are blue. Labour are indeed rubbish but the Tories are no better. Find an English independence party that doesn't hate Scotland and you will be laughing.

It's time for independence for Scotland, England and Wales then England can vote Tory and the rest of us can be free of them.

Snapper says look at Japan, see how well it did after the war. Japan was not allowed to re-arm and still wastes little on 'defence' spending. That's why Germany did so well following the war too. The UK throws away 35 billion a year on 'defence'! Well., we do keep in with America I suppose.....

When the history books are written Margaret Thatcher will occupy several volumes! Gordon Brown will be lucky to occupy a semi-colon. And he dares to compare himself to her!

Well he did copy blair by inviting Lady Thatcher to No10 for a nice cup of earl grey tea.

I must be alone in seeing both sides of the Thatcher argument. Domestically she could be brutal- calling the miners the 'enemy within' was divisive and cruel. She was also far too cosy with Pinochet- on the other hand, she stood staunchly against the evil of communism- a necessary move.

Mrs T, killed the union and turned Scotland against the Tories, so at least she did something right!
