I don't regret that the US took part in World War 2, which had a decisive impact to say the least. Lots of young Americans gave their lives. We should all pay some respect for that. It's easy for a young miserable Swede, who never have hade to deal with war, to criticize. Thanks to the free world, defended by the US, this spoiled, and stupid little guy is comfortably seated in peaceful surroundings. And he is frustrated... Shame on you, jävla ynkrygg.
The US cares about themselves first and foremost, just as everyone else. But they also care about their allies. I'm GLAD that they fought communism, because we in Europe were a bunch of pussies that didn't dare. At least 6.000 Danes tried in WW2, in the SS. Many didn't come home from the eastern front.
ah but if they wanted to defeat communism they should have started with the soviets, it was the soviets who gave weapons to all other communist countries, had they taken out the soviets then it would have been a peice of cake to deal with all the smaller communist countries, but the truth if the USA probably feared the soviets just as much as we europeans did.
"At least 6.000 Danes tried in WW2, in the SS."
Communism might be bad, but nazism isnt worth fighting for either, the SS commited lots of war crimes.
I don't think they joined the SS because of burning desire towards national socialism, but more to fight the reds. A lot of the Waffen SS didn't commit any warcrimes, but the actions of the camp guards and certain units have left a black mark on all the SS.
Aye, but the difference is they tried their best to stop it from spreading. If they did the right moves, is a topic up for debate of course. But I'd rather have capitalism, than communism.
speaking of communism i came across the official website of north korea, and i must say it was pretty interesting to read how they described the korean war and some other things.
I guess they were enormously biased, North Korea is like the capital of old school communist propaganda. Without a doubt an equal to the funny propaganda minister in Baghdad during the invasion, whose name I can't remember.
I dont know his real name but he was usually called Baghdad Bob or Comical ali, a very funny man.
He used to be the iraqi ambassador to Sweden actually.
No shit, haha. Yeah Comical Ali was the name they used in the papers. He'd be saying that the americans were getting slaughtered at the gates, while you could hear a US tank drive by behind him.
