BILL WILLIAMS KIT CARSON COCA-COLA COMMERCIAL - 1950s
Description :
1950s ADVENTURES OF KIT CARSON Coca-Cola commercial featuring star Bill Williams and Hank Patterson. Brooklyn-born Williams (real name Henry Katt) played the famed frontiersman in 105 episodes of the popular ADVENTURES OF KIT CARSON television series, which was sponsored by Coca-Cola during its first-run syndication (1951-1955). Familiar character actor, Hank Patterson (1888-1975) portrayed the show's narrator, "Sierra Jack", who began each show relating that week's episode to a group kids seated outdoors in western togs drinking bottles of Coca Cola. Patterson also provided the bridges between commercials -- which were seamlessly intergrated into the the show -- carefully as well as a brief summery of next week's episode. Did someone say wedgie? hahahaha...
Thar there cowboy sure gots hisself a mighty large wedgie...
Coca-Cola originally sponsored the show in syndication between 1951 and '55, and they always featured a plug for the sponsor at the end of every episode, usually with Bill {out of character} and "Sierra Jack" discussing some aspect of the West, always moving towards that familiar red cooler to pause and refresh themselves at the end...
Bill Williams and Hank Patterson may have actually drank hard liquor in them Coke bottles!
Wasnt that guy Fred Ziffell on Green Acres?
i guess thats why society was smarter back in those days they learnt from the comercials
