No, it was not the windows that made it crash - it was an observation window on the top of the fuselage.

Ironic, in a way, that BOAC was already thinking of pressurization failure when they made it mandatory for Comet I pilots to wear those leather military-style flight helmets and snap-on oxygen masks during every flight. What an unusual sight this must have been for any passenger who happened to visit the flight deck...could not have inspired a great deal of confidence!!

Amazing video, Beatiful Aircraft!!!.. my uncle was pilot by Comet IV for Aerolíneas Argentinas.

The engine placement has a third disadvantage. Travelling tourist class at the back, aft of the jet pipes you could hardly hear yourself shout, except when throttled back for landing. The 707 was much quieter.
Yeah, but it looks cool.
Those big square window were the reasonn the first ones crashed. But anyway. The 707 will never be able to match the beauty of the Comet.
might be true, but beauty is not everything when it comes to safety :)
Yes. Same story with the A380 and 747.
I love the A380 and the 747 by the way.
