Some of us from Texas ARE ashamed that the idiot in the white house is from Texas. She echoed what a lot of us did and still feel. In case y'all forgot this is America...it's called Freedom of Speech or have some of you forgotten that?

I love that they couldn't win one CMT award, which are voted on by the public, but got handed a fistful of Grammys, which are voted on solely by individuals completely dependent on artists for their income! LMAO. Is that crazy or what!

Everybody in the USA has a right speak freely. Natalie Maines is a citizen of the USA and has every right to speak her opinion about the War and the President no matter were she is or what she is doing. People do it 24/7. Go Natalie!!! You or I may not agree with her opinion, however that does not make her or "the Dixie Chicks" an evil or wrong.

Natalie Maines and the PR machine would have you believe she did nothing but speak her mind. In fact, she catalyzed anti-american sentiment as much as jane fonda did with her little field trip. We should not forget the timing of her comment and that it wasn't something she was willing to say in the USA during the runup to the war. SHe SAID, "We're with y'all. We're not for this war. We're ashamed Bush is from our state of Texas". So the damning part was "we're with y'all), the anti-war symps.

"catalyzed anti-american sentiment". Trust me, it didn't take too much catalyzing. I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but your once well respected, great country has reached a point where, in many other countries around the globe, "America" is a dirty word. And that is a shame when you consider how much good you once did before you started interfering in how other people live their lives and trying to force them to live your way.

I agree with you totally. Please accept my apologies for the behaviour of our government. We hope to CHANGE this very soon.

I am happy to see you took my remarks as they were intended and not as an insult. I am sad to see such a great country so disrespected and even sadder that the disrespect should be so well deserved. Sadly I am equally ashamed of my own country (UK)as we seem to have become "Bush's Poodle". The sooner we get rid of the idiots that rule us the better.

My comments on this vid are to point out only that they didn't help an otherwise difficult situation that existed. I was a Bush hater long before he had presidential aspirations. Blair's support is a puzzlement to all. McCain is "black" inside from his POW experience, and will be as much a warmonger as we are about to dump. God help the world if he gets elected. I'll do what I can to prevent that.
