OMG...this was funny and painful at the same time. Ray was on Regis & Kathy Lee in the '90's and Regis really messed it up back then, too. That interview might still be on YouTube. Oh man, why can't they recognize the greatness that is Ray Davies...or at least just do some research! I mean come on, even Wikipedia clearly states they disbanded in '96!

Ay gevalt. G-d bless Ray for surviving Regis Philbin. "I love The Kinks, really." Really, Regis? Then why didn't you know that they broke up twelve years ago and that they came to America AFTER the Beatles? And I could tell that Kelly was completely clueless, too. I wouldn't sing a song about a transvestite for my daughter even if her name WERE Lola! I can only hope for the child's sake that Kelly didn't name her after the Lola in the song. You could almost see Ray thinking, "Ugh. Americans."
