The result was a large airliner powered by 4 powerful contra-rotating propellers just like the Antonov An-22. It came as a surprise to Western observers that a propeller-driven aircraft could operate at jet-like speeds. All militarization was started and held by Stalin the year before the german invaded USSR, because he had been expecting it even after signing the non-agression pact with the deutsche fuhrer.

If he hadn't done that in advance, USSR military forces would have been defeated instantly, and the Blitzkrieg plan would have been accomplished by the autumn of 1941.
