There are times when you get the impression that someone is not being genuine. I just got that feeling. He seemed very seemed very detached from the art's process.

look into the detatched character of andy warhol, koon's persona has precedents. koon's has proven his commitment in his long career, whether you 'like' it or not. using assistants does not mean you don't care, it's a common practice that helps artists produce work. research the Guild System of the past for the precedents there. :)

I watched an interview with him in an art history class I took. He noted that he doesn't create the work but does "suggest" what should be done. He seemed VERY fake. I dunno bout this guy.

who, in your opinion, is VERY real? :)

Haha yes that suit was quite SUITable for the opening...Oh that's a terrible pun but I caught it as I was typing.
Yikes.

"His suit is almost as shiny as his sculpture..." ha ha

I love the look of appall by the two woman behind Koons.

To all viewers of the "Kalm Report". FYI: Steven Winn, of the San Francisco Chronicle, has selected "Jeff Koons on the Roof at the Metropolitan Museum" as one of his YouTube Picks Friday, June 27. He includes a very perceptive review of the program.
