Video Title : The Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II 1953 and The Children's
Description : A detailed re-enactment of The Queen's Coronation, called The Children's Coronation, took place on 3rd June 2002 in Cornwall, as the principal event in the Jubilee celebrations of the Parish of St Just in Roseland. It was performed on the Quay in St Mawes by nine and ten year old children from St Mawes School, together with a few adults. Villagers created a 2.5m tall golden Coronation Coach, to be pulled by members of the Gig Club, a Coronation Chair, authentic dresses, robes and regalia and principal items of the Crown Jewels. Royal approval was later received by letter from HM The Queen and in a visit from HRH the Duke of Cornwall.

Thank you for the beautfiul Koh-i-Nor Diamond worn at the front of the late Queen Mother's crown, the wife of George VI. The rough Cullinan Diamond 3106ct was the largest in the world & Its major piece 530ct Cullinan 1 the Great Star of Africa is in the Sceptre. Our present Queen being the Sovereign, wears the Imperial State Crown with 317ct Cullinan 2 the Lesser Star of Africa at the front, Until we have a King & Queen the Koh-i-Nor will not be worn but can be seen in the Tower of London

That HUGE diamond on the crown jewels was a present from us Persians to the British to display our gratitude for modernizing us we are truly thankful

i was in this i went to st mawes school. i was the little boy in the cart .. phillip . haha!!!

English people must be a kind of wierd creature so that they enjoy such "meaningless" royal episode happening in their everyday lives. What a stupid thing that I don't even want to take a look for one second.

Dear Sandy, When I worked on the Coronation with the children we learned how in the ceremony The Queen accepts the responsibility of being the Monarch. After being "recognised" as the true sovereign, SHE bows US & becomes OUR Servant. She swears an Oath & is then anointed and Crowned. We all felt this formality enables her to keep a level head, otherwise all the adulation could make her go mad! As you can see, our young Queen was also very steady, a truly remarkable 10 year old.

Imagine what its like to be crowned the Queen of your country!

i've seen this vid at the tower of london

I think you men "All people that on earth do dwell" version with fanfares by Ralph Vaughan Willliams.

what the song that starts on 6:04, it almost sounds like a fancy version of the doxology or the old hundreth.

Well done to all those involved and especially to the producer of this wonderful video.
