A Child Playing With King Cobra Snake - Only in India

Just a hunch of mine, but the snake looks to be inhumanely unable to open its mouth somehow. I don't think it's a matter of it's teeth being pulled, glands cut, or venom milked 'cause it would have at least opened its mouth when it attempted to strike the child. I mean at :059, why is the snake continuously "pecking" the kid instead of biting? also, no bite marks.

I could be wrong, though. I've been watching the snake to see if it opens its mouth, but it's hard to tell since cobras strike incredibly fast. if I'm wrong, I hope, in this case, at least it's defanged or devenomed like snake charmers do to their snakes. Even if it means the poor snake would be defenseless. :[
