Waking the Dead "Dinner Scene"

This is my favorite movie of all time. Wow. I think the other dinner scene after the election is probably the best scene in any movie ever.

Say what you will about the cliches in this scene, I have been in this scene myself. There is much truth here.

This scene was written with a sense of superiority. Way too clichéd. Arrogant foreigners, poor victim American who cant help himself to use the word freedom. ROFL with the line 'this country is the best thing that we can do in the whole history of the planet' and then compares America to Chile. Way to go. Go compare your achievements with Great Britain, France? Russia...

You must be joking? Great Britain, France or Russia? What achievements are you focussing on, empire building? If you want to find the governments that have achieved a more civilized way of life you have to think smaller: Costa Rica, Scandanavian countries, Canada.

Do you even know what this movie is about? This is just a scene so you may be missing the point. It's not about nationalism at all. Great movie. Check it out.
