"Profound" excerpt from Harlan Ellison... about Judge Judy and trailer trash. Well, what can one expect from the same guy who wrote Daikatana's script? This is the pinnacle of writing in America today: Harlan Ellison and the guy who thought Superfly Johnson was a good name for a black man. LOL.

Brilliant retort. You're all of 24 dropping anonymous bombshells on youtube. I tried to find a list of your creative efforts but I fail. But I'm sure your online trash talk credits are greater than mine or Ellison's. And Superfly Johnson was not my chosen name. Just the Superfly part, which rawks. I await your tenure in a creative world. Report back.

yeah, but harlan, if you let them kids steal your shit and recognise that it doesnt really matter, then they will see how cool you are and buy loads of your shit. you curmudgeonly old fuck

One of the most guileless people I've ever met! Is he a saint? NO! Does he lay it on the line regardless of public opinion? Absolutely! That's why so many brain-drains hate him so much! Thanks for posting this!

Harlan Ellison is almost always right, and this 'free info' crap is ridiculous. INFORMATION that is owned by the government SHOULD be free--because we own the government. Information that belongs to a PERSON is THEIR info, and it is no one's right to just take it. This whole movement is bullshit. Intellectual property rights are some of the most important laws we have--if the product of one's mind isn't protected, what is?

You should have bought them as 2'nd hand. Cuting both the author and the publishing company out of cash and still support the idea and ideal of commers. It would also have saved on waste, from printed books being unread and the resources of printing new copies when there's copies allready to be had and read. But then, soon you'll be reading them on your personal paml-computer-phone-media-personal-network-unit (PANs is the future and biz has to roll with the paradigm shift).

I buy his and other writers OOP books second hand. And I won't buy a PAN for phones are for making calls. I don't need to watch TV, listen to music, or play games on a phone. I have a CD player and a TV. That's good enough for me.

chuckles.

creative properties, registry, bla bla bla. I've copyrighted the word "and" where's my money? Theoreticly the copyist is only doing an artistic impression of the work and as such shareing his own art with others. Soon they'll put every one with a photographic memory in jail cuss they can remember things to well. READING is a form of copying, sight, smell, touch, taste and so on and on.. Come on when will the brain be subject to the copyright laws? It's all just horrible.

Either you're smoking the bad shit or listening to The Alex Jones Show or both. Whichever it is....stop doing it. Don't you know "they" will come and take you for posting such awful things about them? "They" will send a black helicopter for you and put you aboard the plane for the next "inside job" terrorist attack. You know how the "NWO" works! If I were you I'd step away from the computer and live in a Unabomber shack in the woods for the rest of my life.
