I will say this for the F1. With out it there would have been no Super car Era. That car did more for the "Super Car" industry than any other vehicle production vehicle in the World. There was no bar no one had set anything for street going vehicles.We where all happy watching it on TV in LeMans and Indy.The F1 made it possible for the "non racer" to be able to go upwards of 200 miles an hour and be a street legal car.There shall never be another F1. No other car will ever have the tittle. KING

There are only five in the world. And the one being considered as a gift has never been for sale. All cars in this segment have value attributed to them by their history. When an F1 does go on sale (almost never), it's often a private auction. So 4-5 million isn't out of the question. These cars were sold for 1.2 million USD new, 13 years ago. They are certainly going for more now given the value of the USD and the rarity of the vehicle and the fact that it's showroom new quality.
