Why would I love Iran for political reasons? I am a liberal. I despise their government, just like I despise the Saudi government, and the Israeli government. All are trying to turn the world into fundamentalist copies of themselves. However, we cannot generalize about ALL Iranians, or ALL Saudis. As a matter of fact, if any thing, we need to reach out to the moderate elements in any culture we oppose so that PEOPLE can connect and make a change away from their governments. Love is the solution.

I disagree! You might have misunderstood the video. This is a comedian IMITATING Asala. As for the real Asala, unlike Celine Dion, she actually has a voice. Dion has 5 notes and is a big faker. I am an opera singer, so I know about voices. Asala's instrument is beautiful and strong, and she is a great musician and interpreter. I don't particularly like all the songs she sings, but she is one of the very few, like Shereen and Saber El Robaei, who can take any thing and make it sound good.
