cbl finds a baby raccoon

you guys are sweet hearts, taking him to a wildlife rescue is the right thing to do in almost every case when it comes to abandon or injured wild animals. I'm glad you guys got to hang with the little guy for a while, he was probably very thankful.

we realized that RJ woudl grow to about 30 pounds and want to wander. also would have no fear of humans, this, in a city could lead to desasterous results so sadly we took him to a wildlife refuge that takes in baby raccoons. hopfully he is living a fun life with all the other babys

we have saved and raised alot of baby racoons.one was raised by one of our female dogs the coon nursed the dog.one of our female coons sleeps in the bed with myself,my wife and my wives dog.they can be tamed if you get them young enough.before their eyes are open. but they still play rough and bite very hard. clip the eye teeth to make them blunt so if they do bite it will not puncture the skin.

aww thats great. what about them roaming around outside. dont they harass the neighbors or scare them? not being afraid of humans?

for one thing we have no neighbors. we don't let them roam free out side without us being with them. most of the time they are on a leash when outside or in their jungle pen. which is 50'x 50'x 8' pen with trees,tires,wading pool(we put goldfish in for the coons to catch as if they were in the wild)' abig house they can get into,alot of toys,shiny toys. these are not just pets they are part of the family.
