Wealth Redistribution is wrong. It is selfish to think you have a right to wealth you haven't earned. Richard Branson has enriched everyone's lives. Virgin Music, Virgin Radio, Virgin TV. Virgin Space Travel. He is also a very strong philanthropist. Branson worked his way up from nothing, and he deserves everything he gets. He provides a great service to the world with his products.

I agree with you 100%. People who say 'tax the rich to extremes' fail to grasp the fact that the so-called 'rich' have gained that wealth through their own effort and determination. If the rich are taxed to extremes, then there is no incentive for people to work there way out of poverty. Down with that jealous concept which is socialism and its reckless destruction of ambition and achievement. Thatcher and right-wing capitalism forever.

Exactly. I admit I'm quite poor. But I have ambitions to make it to the top. And being empathetic, I know I going to work my arse off to achieve my goals, and I don't the results of my hard work being taken away from me. I prefer philanthropy. Bill Gates has just given away most of his fortune. Capitalism isn't a bad thing.

For her, censoriousness is present where understanding and compassion are absent, where vision is narrow, where rigid formulae are the easy alternative to a grasp of multi-faceted evidence, and the idea of listening with an open heart is unthinkable. Such censoriousness paves a lazy path to the comforts of a well-upholstered armchair perched on the moral high ground - comfortable, but also a harsh fortress, a place of refuge, a place where compassion's shutters have been slammed firmly shut.

They have also exploded the size of government, which is now trying to interfere with everybodies lives - CCTV cameras, speed cameras, regulations for EVERYTHING, governmental reports, targets. It's like Orwell's 1984.
There is noting clever or pragmatic about our goverment, believe me - I have lived under it.

That's what New Labour want you to believe. In reality they are neo-socialists and authoritarians who've deracinated our society.
They've tried to destroy all our traditions, removed habeus corpus and ushered in an age centralisation and high taxes.
No true Conservative would ever mention the labourites without putting 'useless cunts' in the same sentance.

I second the motion!

Why is it fair to take money of branson who earned it and give it to somebody who didnt work for it?. We should end the banks rights to fractional reserve lending that would free people up from some of this debt slavery. We should most definately end the income tax system that is proved to benefit only the very rich at the cost of the poor. if this country, the uk was run properly on a true free market economy with control over it's own central bank that'd be a fair sytem.

How about making wealth distribution fair? I hardly think people like Richard Branson need the 50 houses they own. As for the British royal family, most of them need their assets taken from them and given a gun with one bullet. Lets face it, most of the wealth is at the expense of tax payers in currency and blood.

But Richard Branson has achieved all that he has through hard work and sheer determination. If the fruits of that grit, effort and steely ambition are redistributed, then it destroys the incentive to achieve highly and therefore the dreams and ambition which ensure that people escape poverty. The fact is, if people and corporations are robbed of their financial success, then achievement and ambition are destroyed and replaced with a jealous, socialist society where dreams don't come true.
