Do the rotors turn clockwise or counter clockwise as per normal helicopters? I can't tell.
The 'About this video' section states that this is a CH-136, which was the Kiowa which is no longer used, this is the CH-146 as stated in the title correctly.
ch136's are smaller anyways the 136 was an attack helicopter
My FAVORITE bird in the sky!!!
If you look at the U.S. Marines UH-1N 'Twin Huey' which has only 2 blades compared to the Griffs 4, you will see them utilize a limited range of weapons to fulfill the combat escort/support role. The Griff should nose-mount the FLIR pod (opposed to the side port) and utilize the side ports for 2.75" zuni rockets or some sort of machine gun pod or a combo of both. Slap some armoured floor plating down and kevlar seats and bingo, and the 427 SOF Sqaudron can become combat capable!
i lov3 the griffon there the best also my dad flys them :P !!
Cool Video. I Was one of the crew for this flight. didn't expect to see it here thanks for posting it.
thats actully a bell 412 but in canada its known as the griffon
bell 412 is actually its civilian designation, when any military in the world uses it, the designation would change, all 'Hueys' are bell models, but you have the OH-58D Kiowa which is a bell 407 etc
