During this conversation John Nash insisted for a while that change having been always present would not represent anything new today. Who was I to convince him of the contrary? I told him the example of heating water: nothing changes for a long time but temperature. Then, unexpectedly, the same change that from 85 C to 95 C did nothing much, brings a big surprise as temperature changes from 95 C to 105 C! This seemed to change :) his mind...

before that happens, we probably would run out of food and such things. Well at least thats what i think.
Sure, that's a possibility too. Probably less so in the U.S. but definitely a scary scenario. What do you think about a 5 year birth control injection that prevents conception for 5 years?
i do not know :P it seems to be quite a long time :-/ when would you use it ? After you first child or before you even have a child? Also, in China *as you might already know* they have established a rule were you may only have 1 child, I know people who want more then one, but if we really get into an overpopulation crisis, it could be a possibility :)
I think that very low income people might welcome something like that. It might give them an opportunity to get a trade, a good job, pull themselves out of the wreckage of poverty before they start having children. It would have to be sponsored by the government. Free of course.
I see, it could work as long as its by their will as well as the price being free. =) But, it is not that easy to pull yourself back up right away and there is a certain age to having a kid. Who knows? It could work, but would be hard.
Yes, it could be difficult, and the alternatives are also difficult.
guess thats why it hasnt been created yet :P
