Hi, I have a JVC Video Camera which does not have a microphone attachment port, however, it does have a 'DC' and 'AV' connection. Can I use the mircophones you recommend without a formal microphone port? Thanks

To use any external microphone, your camcorder must have an external microphone port.

How good is the sound? Better then the built in mic in cameras.

The sound is great. I used the Azden wireless microphones with a Canon HV20 to record the above video.

To LUCKYBREAKPRODUCTION I bought a wirelessmicrophone on Ebay for about $70-$80 and it retails for only about $150. It has never given me problems with audio and I use it for almost everything. Check it out Sony WCS-999R. It's not proffesional, but it works great. BTW it is not the interview microphone, but the tiny hidden one.

The Azden is the least expensive wireless lavalier microphone that will produce good results. If you have more money to spend, the next wireless mike system up the line will run about $600.
