is that plastic or glass??... i think i have one but im not to sure.... i got it of a big screen tv... its made out of plastic.. is that what your using???

this is indeed a green source of energy but on the practical side, how expensive is this fresnel lense compared to home made aluminum foil parabolic cooker.

you could easily make an aluminum plate stand to spread the heat and cook with it. This is one of your better ideas and would make for an interesting solar cooker, perhaps a smaller more adjustable unit that was on a turntable to track the sun?

Unless you have a true parabolic mirror vs. a parabolic reflector, this is MUCH more powerful. Reflectors only give back 60 to 70%.
