How can you refuse to VIOLATE THE TEMPORAL PRIME DIRECTIVE...yet, allow these people of the past to know you posses SCANNERS THAT SCAN TIME and that you have the ability to place them wherever they would want to go? Furthermore, by seeing this guy YOU KNOW that Starfleet still exists in the future. That alone lets people know that you either beat the Borg or outsmarted them.
