My grandmother bought a new 1970 Chrysler. It overheated from day one. Nobody at the dealership or from the factory could do anything about it. Awful car. She finally drove it to another town (the car was infamous in her small town) and traded it for a 1971 Oldsmobile Delta 88 that she drove until her death in 1992.

The American auto disign should be like it was in the early 1970s

So they can shove about 20 of them in a 5 minute period between your favorite show.

Had me a 70 imperial 2 door. Sweet ride.

Where did the auto industry go wrong? Whyowhy can't we have updated versions of this beauty made today? I too really like the music from this commercial - it really sticks in your head! I'll take mine in Copper Metallic with a Parchment vinyl top and Parchment interior (they should've had a power sunroof option that year!) with the road wheels option and a 440 TNT!

Do we want to fill a land-yacht at $4 a gallon?

I am by no means a wealthy man, but I would take the hit at the gas pumps to own one. I would only drive it on weekends in nice weather. There's just SOMETHING about those 69-71 Chryslers that hits a spot with me!

The four door hard top was the best looking car period. Such a nice view out the windows of which all four rolled down ALL the way. If your brat wanted to jump out the back window then fine. Cars today just suck, they all look the same.

20? Let me guess. You were born in, uh, 1985 at the earliest. Dude, typical MPG for these cars was more like 10/12.
