the host is an idiot. was his first question really the most professional thing he could think of?

brian cox's perspective is physics, sir david kings perspective is science generally.. one of the sciences his perspective covers is economics... you cant blame him for his argument of opportunity cost... i think its a good thing to challenge peope like brian cox regardless... just to let them know they should feel privileged to have access to such money and resources.

What is the role of Sir David King in this interview? T promote CERN or destroy its funding?

Dr. Cox looks really pissed toward the end of the interview. Rightfully so, if you ask me.

..so this king guy is supposed to be in charge of the "advancement of science" and he's questioning the importance of the lhc??....what a dufuss...point goes to cox

King is a twat

Sir David King, what an intimidating name

I second that!! good on him, sticking up for what he believes in. He rocks!

Talking about money wasted. One Stealth B-2 bomber costs 737 million dollars in 1997. I have no idea what it costs now, but I suspect more. If they cancel 10, we have a sizeable amount of money to research alternative fuels etc. But no, they have to have bombers to perpetuate the domination of other nations and keep our addiction to oil. ...and then they moan about research that can possibly have new breakthroughs for the human race.

true ,history repeats itself
