It would be interesting to see Pontiac make some commercials like this again. Something that actually gets you excited.

Yeah.. Back then you saw zest like this with Ford and Chevy too. It's a shame that car companies don't take this much pride in their products anymore. :(

There's one car that was overlooked in this commercial? Does anyone remember the Pontiac 6000STE's? Especially, the ones with the all-wheel-drive? They were closer to the imports than the imports cared to admit!!!!

My parents used to have an '87 6000STE. It was one of the first cars with ABS brakes steering wheel radio controls. Unfortunately all of that high tech stuff was new to the car makers then and the cars had lots of problems. The computer went out on the STE and was almost a thousand bucks to replace.

I would certainly buy one if it was made just like the '89 GTA. If they did a Ford Mustang with it though I wouldn't be in the slightest bit interested, that remake just looks like a brick on wheels to me and I liked where the Mustang was going before that with the SVT Cobra R. Most/all cars just seem to suck made after the 90s, cars from the 90s looked nice and aerodynamic, nowadays they look to curvy and buldgy!

I wouldn't expect anything as good the old 3rd Gen Trans-AMs nowadays! Like all these other automotive companies still building cars in past the year 2000 they'll masacre a classic as a cheap marketing ploy thinking people will buy it just because its new and has the same name! No point in getting a new one: just get an old '89 Firebird 2nd hand and spend the spare money on rust-free parts, much more worth the effort I think!
