Amazing Sophomore Throwing Shot Put at Indoor Meet

I was on the track team with Mike at TJ. He was already throwing in the mid sixties when he won his first Texas state title as a FRESHMAN. If you can heave it 65' as a freshman you might have a chance at greatness. Good luck. Oh, and if you can't throw the disc about 190' at least as a freshman, you are well behind the curve.

Ohio has 11 Class of 2010 atheletes, who throw 50 plus with the shot and 150 plus with the disc

yeah the class of 2010 is ridiculous in Ohio! Nationwide, I am the top shot putter in the class of 2010, and Justin Welch, who is also from Ohio and class of 2010, is the top discus and hammer thrower. There are also 4 guys that have hit both 57 and 160, Myself, Welch, Cody Riffle, and Dustin Brode. Thats pretty insane for guys that have 2 more years of throwing ahead of them!!

no joke but i seen a freshman throw 48 feets at a meet for Warren Central High School in Indiana.

stay low and get spin wide. You'll get alot more acceleration and balance if you do this which leads to a better throw
