I have to confess that I don't like this movie that much. Although Julia Roberts brings such a breeze of fresh air to the melodramatic story. Gosh! She was so beautiful at that time. It was just after pretty woman. The red hair, the laugh... real hollywood beauty...already a movie legend!

Yes, it does. But the effects are different for different people. Some experience horrible nausea and fatigue, and some don't experience as much. It is still enough to disrupt one's life, though. Certain medications can help with the side effects. Remember, too, that this movie was made 17 years ago, and chemo has changed quite a bit since then.

This movie is sad but I like it A lot. Julia is my favorite actress. She is Awesome.

I always thought the title was too morose, especially since it was released in summer (1991). Who wants to sit in a theater to watch a gloomy movie in the middle of summer? I think it would have done better as a fall release. The alternate title that was used in other country releases was "A Choice of Love" which I thought sounded much better. Yes, I agree, he was excellent in that role.
