Hu Jintao: "Taiwan independence" activities doomed to fail

Video Title : Hu Jintao: "Taiwan independence" activities doomed to fail
Description : Chinese President Hu Jintao said here on Tuesday that secessionist activities in Taiwan have become the greatest menace to China's national sovereignty and territorial integrity, but such activities are doomed to fail. "The 'Taiwan independence' activities have run counter to the Chinese nation's strong will to safeguard national unity. Such activities will get nowhere and are doomed to fail," Hu told political advisors attending the first annual full session of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in Beijing. Hu, also general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and chairman of the Central Military Commission, observed that the "Taiwan independence" activities have become "the biggest menace to national sovereignty and territorial integrity, the biggest obstacle to the development of cross-Strait relations, and the biggest threat to peace and stability in the Taiwan Straits."

bulllll shiiittttttt. thats the biggest bull shit id ever heard. when the 2 part fought against each other, each party established their own country. so bull shit.

taiwan is a part of china. it is shame to claim taiwan is a so called ""country"" i am a taiwanese. as i know, most taiwan people strongly oppose session.

Taiwan is no Tibet. It is well armed. Tibet is in such bad straights today because they truly believe in non-violence. China was able to invade because Tibetan weren't prepared to defend themselves. Ultimately, they trusted that the United Nations would be there to support them but it never happened.

祝福中國早日統一臺灣,臺灣現在在全球舞臺就是最大的笑柄

I have a message for all of you and Hu Jintao, "NUTS."

Taiwan is an inseparable part of China.

well if you stop being so communist and corrupt maybe they want to join you

Regardless, Taiwan is part of China.

I dont understand how china will solve any internal problems in the future, as if you say any negative points you are seen as being anti chinese. If the government is always praised how can any negative aspects be resolved? For instance government corruption.

beadlegirl, first of all have you ever been to the mainland? Before I went to college I also felt the same way as you do, but now after 4 years in Beijing I realize the situation is very complicated here. We do need democracy, but it has to be done in a gradual way. I'm glad you still consider yourself Chinese. Work hard to make Taiwan a good example for us in mainland
