Well, I have a 97 Civic Coupe with a B18C-5 TypeR swap. Gas mileage would be 28/34 and thats being modest. Runs the quarter in 13.8
Im sure your SS makes more torque and midrange power. I happen to like the feeling of boost my self. But my Civic NA walks away from the SS during acceleration. Took an engine swap to get there, but the final product created was well worth the time and money. Drive what you like:)

why should you car about mileage when you want power names don't make the game...
a Civic with a turbo will still run the same times a a cavalier with a turbo... so please stfu everyone

There are some problems with that idea though. Cavaliers are some of the worst junk ever produced, and they don't get very good fuel mileage compared to Civics. So I don't think anyone wants to drop a few grand or more on a turbo for a car that started falling apart when it was two years old and probably runs on three cylinders (like the only two I've ever been in).
