As I know, it was FIRST federal commercial in former USSR (Sept 10 1989 named "REKLAMA"
My dad used to own a '91 Tavria when I was a kid and I remember him having trouble with the car in freezing weather. As you might expect Ukrainian winters are brutal, expecially in the north.
oh my gosh... "zaporozhec"... I still remember this crap...
They were exported to the Czech republic and Tavria used to be the cheapiest new car. There were sold only a few Tavrias. They are very rare there.
Unfortunately Tino its not a samara. Its Tavria and they are produced in ukraine. Never exported. By the way... All the communist car look likes Fiat, but never reach the same quality (meanwhile Fiat is a great and reliable car; Lada, Tavria and other Sovietic cars were bad cars)
Well, ZAZ 110206 - Tavria comes out of Lada Samara. Basicly it's the same construction, just the design is a little bit different. ZAZ (Zaporozijskij Avtomobilovij Zavod = Automobile Company of Zaporozi o Empresa Automotriz de Zaporozi) bankrotted in 1994 and in 1995 the manufacture equipment had been sold to Poland, where Tavrias were produced some other years.
ZAZ has never bankrupted wtf
Tavria was also a great car, perfect solution.cheap vehicle
it has been producing Tavrias till 2004
Since 1998 ZAZ has been making the ZAZ Lanos (adapted the technology from chevrolet)
I can't agree, my friend. Have you ever had a Tavria?? This car was cheap, yes, was designed for a terrain with no roads or very bad roads. But that's all. This car was very unreliable and the safety was very, very underrated. And yes, the company bankrupted in 1995.
And yes, Tavrias were exported, out to Europe, almost all post-soviet republics, some states of Africa and south America (I saw some of them in Colombia, by the way). Not too much, because this mierda never had a success on the market. And this videoclip is the big lie, I had one Tavria before and it consumptied between 9-11 litres/100km:) And the engine is just V4 1.1L, God damned!!! So two drops of gasoline for one kilometer would never be enough for this piece of shit;)
"...because this mierda never..." The word "Mierda" in english is "SHIT"... I think you're a Southamerican like me!!! (I'm Venezuelan)
