It matters because history tells us that nobody stays on top forever, however Obama can slow the decline where as McCain can increase it. What we do as a nation today will affect the world of tomorrow.

don't vote McCain he doesn't care what happens 20-30 years down the line, if we ever become independent of oil.... he will be dead in 30 years what the hell does he care?....my kids and grandkids deserve better..McCain is the war president HE LIKES THE WAR....HE WANTS TO GO TO MORE WARS.....HE HAS BEEN TO WAR  THAT'S ALL THIS GUY HAS TO SAY WAR WAR WAR....
