competition has caused them to start making better vehicles, and i will likely go back to them for my next car.

We care about this country (and I especially care about detroit, which i love), we just put our personal intersts first. I don't disagree that michigan (detroit, flint, and other places) were seriously fucked by the big 3 going to shit, but i am optimistic that they are starting to turn this around. I just contend that its not just consumers that are at fault, but the big 3 themselves for skimping on quality (at least in the past) because they were a monopoly.
