There is difference between imitation and depicting an era/style;)

so basically they imitate the most popular and influencial dancers. it kinda boring... especially since some of the imitations are quite bad, like dina's.

Not boring to those who don't know squat about the history of this dance. Its useful for the laymen to see where it came from (and not think its just another form of pole dancing like so many do...).

You are so right, my friend. I'm sick of people treating this like a taboo. I saw a newscast once where footage of a bellydancer came up instead of the intended reel, and they freaking apologized for that being put on the air! Ignorant SOBs.

This shows that you don't need a ton of fusion and new accessories to do a varied oriental dance show. There is already so much variation around! Good job!

wow, the dancer who imitated samia gamal had beautiful arms. is this show ever coming to the US?
