Is this the same Hopak they are going to do at Kalyna feastival 2008?

No. The Tavria Ensemble does not compete at festivals. However, classes in the Tavria school do compete, and will be taking part in the Kalyna Festival (in Yorkton, SK) this year. Hope that helps!

people need to understand that russia and ukraine are two diff. countries nd it gets me soo pissed when americans call me a russian, even tho to them its the same to me its not and looking at this dancing lets me know a russian cant dance like that... this goes back to my grandparents nd so fourth... we're not russian!!

yea people dont even know where ukraine is. they ask me where im from i used to say Ukraine but now i say russia. people are stupid

Im Ukrainian too, by looking at our history i belive our country should be number one. and i think it should be important as the US and people should not call us russian. we live in independent country, and im proud to be a citizen of the Ukraine.
