Daughtry - Home

Knowing nothing about Daughtry (I've never followed 'American Idol'), my reaction here is, quite simply, to the song, the mood, the voice: and- this is GOOD! It's what I'd call 'classic American country/pop': nostalgic feeling; simple, direct, emotional text- the singer's voice true to the song's mood. It's a strong, 'classic manly' American voice, with talent for singing inflections- good sense of rhythm, as well. Like all good country pop, this voices longing; & brings emotional release.

I kind of take two meanings to this song. The one is to go home where God loves all people, and the other one is just the regular home (either birthplace or just regular home). Home is comfort when their is pain in the world. It's kind of like that Martina Mcbride song.
