These California Sea lions were filmed in the winter of 2005. We dropped anchor in about 35' of water, just at the end of the Coast Guard Pier. Even while we were preparing to enter the water, a group of nearly 30 young sea lions circled the boat in excitement. This was a lot of fun!

Their movements remind me of the movements that sky-divers have when they dance in free-fall, also the movements one makes when performing an intricate succession of figures in diving from the highewt board, and the movements used to controll the path of the body in trampoline, in gymnastics (dance, jumps, somersaults, etc.) and figure skating jumps. Lovely video, well done!
