Larger roles in widely released Hollywood films followed, and her career skyrocketed in the late 1990s with box office successes like The Devil's Advocate (1997), Mighty Joe Young (1998), and The Cider House Rules (1999). Theron became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 2007.

Very beautiful and sweet but an emotional wreck. Her mother killed her father.

that's what makes her acting so raw like in Monster. But at the same time compare her to spoiled hollywood brats like Lindsay Lohan that ruin everything and are in and out of rehab when they've been through nothing compared to what Charlize has been through and you don't hear about her in and out of rehab and in the tabloids acting like trash. She's a strong woman to go through all that and still make it on her own in hollywood.

i have to say i have never seen such a beaitful women my whole life, charlize is literally one in a million, because i see girls every day that i think there hot but its different with charlize shes not just hot shes beatiful, i mean can you amagine waking up seeing the sun rise and turn and see that sleeping next to you every day, that would put a smile on my face every single day. stuart townsend is one lucky boy :P
