A BOAC Britannia Lands at Aden Airport in 1961

Video Title : A BOAC Britannia Lands at Aden Airport in 1961
Description : A BOAC Bristol Britannia, possibly G-ANBO, landing at Aden Airport, probably in Summer 1961. If this was the other end of the occasion I saw them off from London, then the aircraft ID was G-ANBO. My Grandpa said to remember the ID so that we wave to the right plane when it takes off, and I've remembered it ever since. Digitised cine film (standard 8 no sound) by Fred Collinson, taken in Aden where he lived with his family and worked at the BP oil refinery from 1957-1962.

This aircraft was involved in fourteen accidents altogether amounting to 365 deaths in total.

Good amateur photography of an arriving family - someone's fond memories of the woman with her children no doubt. Now of a distant time, and very different place. Of interest to anyone with a family that travelled. Thanks for sharing.
