Video Title : Dodge Viper 500 hp Vs Tzero Electric Car - See Who Wins
Description : Forerunner to the Tesla Roadster. Viper = 510 hp, 3380 lb, tzero = 225 hp, 1970 lb, Viper = 0-60: 3.9sec tzero = 0-60: 3.6sec Viper = 326hp/ton tzero = 250hp/ton Only about 15% of the energy from the fuel you put in your tank gets used to move your car down the road or run useful accessories, such as air conditioning. The rest of the energy is lost to engine and driveline inefficiencies and idling. Therefore, the potential to improve fuel efficiency with advanced technologies is enormous. With an Electric Car it costs just $2.00 per 100kms with MUCH more performance than with petrol at $20.00 per 100kms. Dodge Viper V10 500 hp Vs Tzero EV Electric car. designwise, electric cars still struggle, and then there's the fact that the cars are silent; i really think they should create an electric engine that actually makes some noise, the silent engine is just a bit... boring.plus you can hear the speed if it would make some sort of noise

nowhere near silent - sure its quieter, but you can hear it, and hear is 100% pure power. And the torque is ANYTHING but boring

AC Propulsion produce a brilliant motor/transmission combo but it's so expensive - much more than a regular whole car. The bottom line is that the motor is 'only' copper wire, iron, bearings some magnets (and I'm not sure about the magnets) so why can't AC Propulsion license the technology and mass produce the motors so we can use them in EV conversions at a reasonable cost - like $2.5K for example? It would go a long way to saving the planet. Please, license the design and get the cost down:)

It's $25,000 for the motor/inverter but it's hand made, not a production item. They have licensed it... to Tesla, but the AC inverter is an old analogue design so the Tesla engineers dumped it and went digital. It's an AC Induction motor for a start so it doesn't have permanent magnets but saying it's 'only' copper wire is like saying an ICE is just cast iron and aluminium. Look up the price of ANY 150kw electric motor for comparison.

i would love to see it up against a pagani zonda or nissan gtr35 the company wouldnt be able to say its the fastest to 100km anymore

your car rules

Sad thing is... they've been around since (ca1832). And they tend to disappear out of the peoples eye every 30years or so for one reason or another(mostly loss of PROFIT). Talk about history repeating itself :( *depressing*

LOL How ridiculous!! Computers have been around just as long (difference engine 1822) but there have been more than a few advances in technology since then.

Does it really matter? The enze has less then 100 made, and it no longer produced, and the Veyron is just as rare. Not real competetion, but also about $850,000 more than the Tzero.

i'm sorry tsport100...could you explain your servicing lay out on the EV...thanx "H"
