I don't think it is putting them down to notice that there was still some room for improvement at this time, particularly in the vocals. Hey I'm a fan of both Dylan and the Grateful Dead, so I can't be too concerned about vocal precision :-) It's important to point out to critics though that this was two years ago, and they were greatly improved all around by less than a year later. Do a search for Smoosh Lollapalooza and see what I mean. Still only 13 and 15, but they were very impressive.
