of course it is

Open Suse Rocks! I'm glad to see that I'm not the only linux lover out there.

at 9 dollars a GB, it's not much of a issue for pc users ;)

it most certainly does not slow down my computer I don't know why you would make such a ignorant comment.. with all this running i still use less Ram than vista, and files/folders/programs open faster as well... flux box might be better for some Beryl might be better for others.. there is No black and white answers. as far as the graphics, i multy-task a LOT, and being able to SEE multiple desktops helps a great deal for me and makes me more productive... Issues should never

Donkey Kong!

so if i were to replace windows xp and put linux how many gigs would it take away?

linux can be anywhere to 0.1GB for a tiny distro , to around 7GB loaded to the nuts. my distro (arch linux) usues about 1.5GB i believe xp uses about 4, vista uses between 7 and 15.

seems decent if i want gigs or rams how do i do that with out taking stuff off of my computer?

Of course they can. What is the visual level? OpenGL? Exactly what part of OpenGL doesn't run on Windows/Mac or runs better on Linux? Mac's display server is more advanced than X11 and they both can run a 3D application that manages your files.. so please, do read things on X11 and Quartz before you post things. And you obviously haven't used the Cocoa framework from Apple, or ever created a DirectX application. Know your place.
