BTW: The joomla! CMS/framework is quite convenient because authentication on modules is taken care of and makes application organization really nice. I suggest using Jumi as your php includer module.

There are more than 50 great PHP frameworks out there. Some are far better than rails. Stop this video insanity. You don't help rails this way, you just prove that you are retarded.

Couldn't agree with you more. Each language (be it Ruby, PHP, Java, etc...) has it's place. In my experience, the language doesn't make the programmer. I've seen beautiful coding in PHP and code done (as we say in Mexico) with your feet. I do have to say these videos are kinda funny, from a marketing point of view, but you can't really take them seriously. I've been developing for 6 years, and PHP is great, considering it's advantages and disadvantages and one of the most easiest to learn.
