On the one hand, it's reaffirming that there are people who don't or can't understand because then as a music teacher, I have a job security! (Additionally, it's kind of nice humans all have different "strengths" so that some understand visual art, sports, while others "get" music of different types.) On the other hand, it might have helped if before the concert of say, Four Organs, Reich or Thomas told the audience about the piece they were about to hear. (I wonder if they did?)

Reich is so intelligent. Haha. It's so sad people don't understand some forms of music.
