| Russia has some nice stuff but still cant match the best US stuff except in a few areas like air defense and area attack weapons. Mayb the PAK FA fighter if it was released could give a decent match to F35 or F22. |

| Imagine is they retained a centre section and installed wings, canards and elevators in a forward-swept configuration as well as added TVC? Then engines put together, S-shaped intakes smoothed into oval section and you get a very sexy, streamlined, modern fighter jet with even better aerodynamics and the Radar-absorbent paint would reduce RCS. Uprated avionics, engines and internal weapon bays a given. Perfect balance between cost and effectiveness. |
