I also have one of these cars. One reason for the low HP that was stated in the TOP GEAR video may be very low spark. I replaced the spark controller with an MSD unit and installed a 75000 volt coil. The power improvment was great. Also the car appeared to be running a little rich. I re-jetted and this also helped alot.
